6DOF motion simulator is a mechanical device that provides movement across one or more of the six degrees of freedom (DoF), which are individually defined as X, Y, Z, θ-X, θ-Y, θ-Z, and often referred to as surge, sway, heave, roll, pitch, and yaw.
It was initially used for flight simulation training, but has now gradually developed into a driving simulator, flight simulator, truck simulator and even real car simulator for various driving simulation training and research.
