Motion Platform FAQ

A motion platform is a mechanical device that provides movement across one or more of the six degrees of freedom (DoF), which are individually defined as X, Y, Z, θ-X, θ-Y, θ-Z, and often referred to as surge, sway, heave, roll, pitch, and yaw.

Simulator motion platforms today use 6 jacks (“Hexapods”) giving all six degrees-of-freedom, the three rotations pitch, roll and yaw, plus the three translational movements heave (up and down), sway (sideways) and surge (longitudinal). 6 Dof motions are powerful cues when combined with outside-world (OTW) imagery.

Hydraulic motion systems provide higher force output (ideal for heavy-duty applications), while electric system motion platforms provide quieter operation and less maintenance (more suitable for indoor environments). However, the current servo electric cylinder motion platforms can also provide higher force output. Our company has customized a 6DOF motion platform with a load of up to 50 tons (the motion systems provided by Allcontroller are all electric systems)

Allcontroller’s standard motion platform has a load range of 100kg to 5000kg, supporting highly customized designs. For scenarios such as aerospace and heavy vehicle testing, it can provide a reinforced structure solution with a load of more than 10 tons, and is equipped with a redundant electric system to ensure stability.

We support customized motion platforms and motion systems, The payloads from 100kg to 50 tons, with positioning accuracy up to ±0.1mm. Custom configurations available for extreme precision requirements.

Driven by a high-precision servo motor, the repeatability is ±0.01mm and the dynamic response time is <10ms. For high-frequency scenarios such as automotive testing, a high-frequency response module (up to 100Hz) can be optionally installed to ensure the accuracy of real-time feedback data.

Our motion systems are designed for aerospace (e.g., pilot training), automotive (e.g., vehicle dynamics testing), entertainment (e.g., VR gaming), and industrial R&D (e.g., robotics simulation). Customizable solutions available for specific use cases。

Standard models ship within 4 weeks. Custom projects require 6-12 weeks for design, prototyping, and testing。

Support non-standard customization. Size customization (minimum 0.5m x 0.5m, maximum 10m x 10m). For the convenience of transportation, due to the limitation of container size, it is generally recommended to control the width below 2 meters, or assemble it upon arrival at the project site.

In most cases, customers will have specific requirements for the angle, speed, acceleration and other parameters of the motion platform. Allcontroller will provide personalized solutions based on the specifications provided by the customer.

Before the project is confirmed, we also support free design scheme renderings, and calculate the best accessories selection according to the specifications you provide, such as the stroke of the servo electric cylinder, the power of the servo motor, etc. Similarly, after the two parties confirm the cooperation, we will only start to produce the motion system after the customer is completely satisfied with our solution.

Order and logistics FAQ

Our factory has ISO 9001 certification and we have CE certificate. At the same time, we also support certifying certificates that meet local requirements based on customer requirements.

We just support the FOB .
Standard terms: 50% TT deposit + 50% balance (completed before delivery after acceptance).
For orders over 50,000 USD, it can be changed to 30% TT deposit + 70% balance (completed before delivery after acceptance).

After paying the deposit, the design draft can be continuously modified before it is confirmed, without paying other fees. Once the design draft is confirmed and enters the production stage, it cannot be modified. If the configuration parameters need to be modified, a new quotation is required.

We support customers to come to China and conduct on-site acceptance at our factory, and we provide food and accommodation. For customers who cannot come to China, we provide Google conference video acceptance or shoot sports platform indicator videos according to the indicators required by customers.

We offer remote commissioning support via video call and dispatch engineers for on-site installation (service fees may apply). 24/7 technical support through email and WhatsApp。

We provide a warranty service of usually one year to users, and we will replace the defective parts free of charge. However, the warranty does not cover unauthorized modifications by the user, external causes such as natural disasters, normal wear and tear, nor does it apply to damage caused by accidents, abuse, misuse or modification of the product. On-site repairs and/or shipping costs during the warranty period are not included. In addition, we also support extended warranty services (extra charge), depending on the terms of the contract.

Allcontroller will customize each motion system with a specially sized export wooden box before shipment. We will carefully pack the equipment before shipment to ensure the safety of the equipment during transportation.

After the equipment arrives at the site, we support installation guidance through online video conferencing or WhatsApp. For projects that customers need us to assemble on site, customers need to support additional fees.

Technical FAQ

Fully compatible. We provide an open API interface and support multiple communication interfaces, including CAN, RS232, RS485, and support SD card file reading and writing.

Allcontroller’s motion system is completely plug-and-play. We will ship the wooden box with a 232 serial port (or 232 to USB cable). According to the tutorials we provide, you can control the motion platform through our control software by modifying the computer IP.

All our motion platforms are equipped with emergency stop buttons. In other words, if there is a problem, you only need to press the red stop button to stop the motion platform immediately and safely. At the same time, the motion platform will automatically return to its initial state after restarting.
