The 6DOF motion platform is able to simulate dynamic scenes in complex environments, such as earthquake bumps, flight weightlessness and vehicle off-road, through precise motion in six dimensions (forward and backward, left and right, up and down, pitching, yawing and rolling), combining high loading capacity (up to 30 tons), fast response (microsecond control precision) and stable safety, overcoming the defects of traditional hydraulic systems with complicated maintenance and low safety. It is very suitable for simulating airplane crash racing, car racing and racing. other scenes in the movie.

In Wandering Earth 2, the “chassis” of the lunar rover’s cockpit is the 6DOF motion simulation platform provided by Allcontroller. The platform needs to carry a 9-meter-long, 4-meter-wide steel cockpit and filming team, with a total load of up to 30 tons. It took one month for the R&D team to build the static and dynamic models, and precisely analyze the stress distribution of the platform under extreme loads to ensure the stability and reliability of the equipment in simulating the low gravity environment of the moon.

During the filming process, the platform was programmed to reproduce the moon rover’s bumps, dips and tilts to perfectly match the director’s visualization of “traveling on the moon’s surface”. The real feedback of the actors in the dynamic cabin greatly reduced the workload of post-production special effects and enhanced the naturalness of the performance. The Allcontroller team was on-site for two months, adjusting the parameters of the equipment in real time to meet the dynamic demands of different shots.
